Meet Monsoon! A native of Northern Clarendon in Jamaica, Denton “Monsoon” Bedward is a veteran singer-songwriter who found his gift for music when he was 6 years old. “I sang in church and DJ’d on the radio and in school. My friends called me “Juke Box" – because as they would knock the desks, I would rap to the beat,” he recalls.
Today he is an award-winning artist who has performed at the Clinton and Obama inaugurations, in Latin America, and at well-known festivals. His music has been included on movie soundtracks and is being played around the world. Before launching his solo career, Monsoon opened for other international artists including Shaggy, Buju Banton, Capelton, Beres Hammond, Steel Pulse and Third World. While Monsoon is a solo artist, he also performs with his band - S.T.O.R.M. -- Strong Talented Organized and Real Musicians. The band includes a Grammy-nominated musician and musicians who have played with The Original Wailers. They are described as "one of the fiercest live entertainment in the reggae industry."
